International Investment Forum

The Forum will serve as a high-level international platform for the exchange of knowledge and best practices, the presentation of the investment potential of the Free Economic Zones of the Republic of Tajikistan, and discussions on innovative digital solutions for FEZ management and administration. Emphasis will be placed on digital public services for investors, smart logistics, digital infrastructure, and modern mechanisms for facilitating and supporting investment projects. 

The Forum will be held on 27–28 August 2026 in the cities of Guliston and Khujand, Sughd Region, Republic of Tajikistan. 

The programme of the first day will include the official opening ceremony, plenary and thematic panel sessions, an exhibition showcasing products, technologies and investment opportunities, a signing ceremony for cooperation agreements, and the official l closing of the Forum. 

The second day will feature a technical visit to the Sughd Free Economic Zone, site visits to selected industrial enterprises in Khujand, and a cultural and business programme designed to facilitate networking and strengthen partnerships among participants.

The main objective of the Forum is to provide a high-level international platform for fostering dialogue, sharing knowledge and best practices, and promoting practical cooperation on the digitalization of Free Economic Zones. The Forum aims to strengthen investment partnerships, advance industrial cooperation, enhance trade and economic connectivity, and improve the competitiveness of Free Economic Zones across the Eurasian region.

• To facilitate the exchange of international and regional experience, best practices and innovative approaches to the digital transformation of Free Economic Zones (FEZs).

• To promote the investment potential of the Free Economic Zones of the Republic of Tajikistan and support the attraction of foreign direct investment.

• To showcase the products, services and investment opportunities offered by enterprises operating within the Free Economic Zones of the Republic of Tajikistan.

• To explore digital solutions for investment facilitation, including e-services, digital platforms, investor portals and integrated digital ecosystems for FEZ management.

• To strengthen regional and international cooperation in the fields of digital economy, industrial development, trade, logistics and investment.

• To foster dialogue and establish direct partnerships among government institutions, international organizations, development partners, FEZ administrations, the private sector and investors.

• To discuss effective policy instruments and modern mechanisms for investor support, business facilitation and the implementation of investment projects in Free Economic Zones.

• To encourage the development of new partnerships through the signing of cooperation agreements, memoranda of understanding and other collaborative arrangements.

• The Forum is organized by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan \

• The Executive Body of State Authority of the Sughd Region;

• The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO);

• The Association of Clusters, Technopark’s and Special Economic Zones of the Russian Federation;

• The Free Economic Zones of the Republic of Tajikistan;

• International organizations, international financial institutions, development partners, sectoral associations, business communities and private sector companies.

The Forum is expected to bring together representatives of:

• Ministries, government agencies and public institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan and the countries of the Eurasian region;

• Free Economic Zones (FEZs), Special Economic Zones (SEZs), industrial parks and technoparks;

• International organizations, international financial institutions and development partners;

• Domestic and foreign investors, business associations, chambers of commerce and resident enterprises of Free Economic Zones;

• Companies operating in the manufacturing, trade, logistics, export and related sectors;

• IT companies, financial institutions, digital platform developers and providers of innovative technology solutions;

• Modern investment facilitation mechanisms and investor support services;

• Presentation of investment opportunities, priority projects and digital innovation initiatives within FEZs.

TRADE, LOGISTICS AND DIGITAL CONNECTIVITY

• Digitalization of logistics, transport corridors and cross-border trade;

• E-commerce, digital supply chains and trade facilitation;

• Modern customs administration and digital trade procedures;

• Development of export-oriented infrastructure, industrial value chains and agro-logistics.

The Forum will include the following activities:

• Recognition and awards ceremony for outstanding manufacturers and exporters operating within the Free Economic Zones of the Republic of Tajikistan;

• Technical visit to the Sughd Free Economic Zone and selected industrial enterprises in Khujand;

• Cultural programme and networking events for Forum participants.
